Meet Dominik Krzemiński, our Open Source Tech Lead
Before Dominik took a leadership role, he used to be a Data Scientist at Appsilon. He has five years of experience in Python and R programming, mostly from data science and machine learning related projects. He is interested in human cognition, low quality football, capoeira and all kind of board sports. During his Masters studies, Dominik participated in two editions of the Google Summer of Code program. If your curious, his commits might be found in brain2, scikit-learn or pylems python modules. If that weren’t enough, he is a core contributor to various R packages: mljar, shiny.collections, shiny.i18n. He recently decided to pursue his PhD in computational neuroscience at Cardiff University Brain Research Imaging Center. Even while studying, he finds time to share his knowledge at meet-ups in Warsaw and Cardiff. During his time at University, Dominik would still regularly check out our GitHub and update our Open Source. In that time, Dominik and Appsilon both decided to work together again. Dominik Krzemiński is now Appsilon’s Open Source Tech Lead.
Open Source at Appsilon
In our Open Source department, we are working hard now on the release of our new package
semantic.dashboard
. Semantic.dashboard is currently under development. We strongly believe that neat data and visualizations are key ingredients of every data science project. With that in mind, we are building a bright new dashboard theme on top of our successful
shiny.semantic
package. Concurrently, we refreshed the
shiny.router
package. We removed all unnecessary dependencies. This made it more light and coherent with recent Shiny developments. It will be easier to use it thanks to updated examples and documentation. We never forget about other our packages from the Shiny family. Check out our great tools for internationalisation, semantic UI elements injection, or making your app more collaborative. Person in charge for our Open Source is Dominik who you had a chance to get to know thanks to this blogpost.
